William T. "Bill" Snyder

William T. Snyder, "Bill", 83, of Muhlenberg Twp., passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2016, at the Rehabilitation Center of Berks Heim. He was surrounded by his loving family at his side.

He was married to his wife, Marie A. (Wall) Snyder, for 43 years. In past years, they enjoyed ball room dancing and hosting family gatherings.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Earl and Florence (Schrack) Snyder. He was one of nine children and was preceded in death by his brothers Earl, Barry, and Paul Snyder. His surviving sisters are Claire Bergstresser and Betty Ellis. He also has three surviving brothers: George, Donald, and Eric Snyder.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by: his sons Robert Snyder and his wife Jill, Richard Snyder and his wife Terri, and Steven Snyder. Also his children, Jean Kreuzberger, wife of Paul , Michael Wall, husband of Barbara, Larry Wall, husband of Kim, and David Wall, husband of Amy. There are 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

He graduated from Muhlenberg High School.

William worked as a district sales manager for General Battery, and later as president of Snyder Wholesale Distributing. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Laureldale where he was active in the choir for 42 years. He was involved in the community and served two terms as president of the local Rotary Club.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 20th at 11 am in the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc., 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple with Rev. Thomas Irwin officiating.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday morning from 10 am until time of service in the funeral home.

Interment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in William's name to Calvary Lutheran Church, 1009 Elizabeth Ave., Laureldale, PA 19605.
