Ward G. Miller 95, formerly of Temple died Sunday at 7:35 A.M. in the Berkshire Center, Exeter Township. He was the widower of Ethel (Nonemaker) Miller, who died May 3, 2009.
Ward was born in Reading on May 16, 1921. He was the son of the late Harry and Martha (Zweibel) Miller.
Surviving are three sons, Douglass of Reading; Glen of Temple; and Alan of Brecknock Township. Two Grandchildren and Five Great Grandchildren.
Ward was very active in the former St. Paul's Memorial United Church of Christ serving on consistory and was a dedicated choir member. He was a graduate of Reading High School.
Mr. Miller served his country during World War II in the United States Army, Company B 7th Engineers 5th Infantry . For his gallantry he received a silver star and three purple hearts. He, also, served as a major in the U.S. Army Reserves.
Ward retired in 1971 as a supply technician being employed as a civilian by the United States Government.
Funeral services for Ward will be held on Saturday at 10:30 A.M. from the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc. Temple with the Reverend Kerry Hicks officiating. Interment in Forest Hills Memorial Park with full military honors provided by the Topton V.F.W.
Family will receive friends on Saturday 9:30 A.M. until time of service.
