W. James Rank

W. James Rank, 82, of Reading died Tuesday morning in Manor Care, Laureldale, following a courageous battle with several medical conditions, which included Leukemia. He was the widower of Helen J. (Schiefer) Rank who died in 1993. W. James and Helen had celebrated thirty five years of marriage.

Mr. Rank was born on May 17, 1932 in Phoenixville, PA. The son of the late William and Margaret (Ersinger) Rank

James is survived by a daughter, Anne Rank, wife of Thomas Dalton of St. Lawrence and a son, John S. Rank of Laureldale. He was predeceased by a son Robert Rank.

There are five grandchildren, Matthew R. Smith, Valerie, Samantha, and Nicole Dalton, and Jason Rank. Also one great grandchild, Isabella Rank.

He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Rank and a sister, Violet (Rank) Bittel.

Mr. rank served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War.

James retired in 1994 with thirty years service from Quadrant Engineering Plastic Products, Inc., formerly known as Polymer Corporation, of Reading. After retirement he worked nine years at the Cinema Center Movie Theater at the Fairgrounds Squared Mall.

He was a member of St Paul's RCC in Reading.

Funeral services from the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc. Temple on Friday August 22nd at 10:30 A.M. with the Reverend Grant Wickert officiating. Interment in Gethsemane Cemetery.

Family will receive friends on Friday from 9:30 am until time of service.
