Virginia W. "Ginny" (Henne) Moyer
December 24, 1933 — January 23, 2014
Virginia W. (Henne) Moyer, age 80, of Richmond Township, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 23, 2014, in her residence of natural causes. She was the widow of Raymond W. Moyer who passed on October 23, 2002.
Mrs. Moyer (known to many as "Ginny") was born on December 24, 1933 in Upper Tulpehocken Township. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Edna (LaFollette) Henne.
Virginia graduated from the Hamburg Area High School in the Class of 1952 and graduated from Kutztown University in the Class of 1956. Upon graduation Virginia was employed thirty and a half years as librarian of the Fleetwood Area High School, retiring in 1989.
She was a member of Becker's St. Peter's Church, Molltown. She enjoyed traveling, bird watching, and doing her crosswords in ink.
Mrs. Moyer is survived by two loving daughters; Dolores M. (Dolly) Moyer of Richmond Township and Lori A. (Moyer) wife of Kim Blatt of Rockland Township. Also, three grandsons; Nathan, Kiefer, and Tanner Blatt
A brother, Ray W. (Goody) Henne, of Goodman, Mississippi survives. There are fourteen nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by brother, Donald E. Henne, who passed in 2013 and a stillborn brother, Teddy R. Henne.
Funeral services for Virginia will be held on Wednesday, January 29, at 10:30 A.M. at the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc., 4914 Kutztown Rd, Temple PA with her Diaconal Minister Linda Zawaski officiating. A private interment will follow in Becker's St Peter's Cemetery.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday 9:30 A.M. until time of services
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered in Virginia's memory to the Hawk Mountain Sanctuary Association, 1700 Hawk Mountain Road, Kempton, PA 19529.
