Victoria C. Dillard, 75 of Reading died Saturday night, May 20, 2017 surrounded by her loving family in her daughter's home. Born December 26, 1941 in Esmaralda, Coahuila Mexico, she was a daughter of the late Altagracia Ramirez.
Victoria moved to the United States alone when she was 12-years old where she worked to help support her mother and siblings in Mexico. A few years later, Victoria's family was able to join her.
Victoria worked in quality control for many years at Giorgio Mushroom and Giorgio Foods. Some of Victoria's favorite times were with her co-workers on company benefit trips to the Bahamas. She loved to garden and she was an avid jewelry collector, the beauty of precious gems delighted her. Most of all, she enjoyed caring for her family, particularly her grandchildren, nieces and nephews whom she loved with all her heart. Victoria was faithful to her Catholic beliefs and attended various local churches.
Victoria is survived by her daughter, Dahomi Duran-Coronado and her husband, Gerardo Duran-Garcia; four grandchildren, Victoria, Jeyda, Genesis, and Leonardo Duran-Coronado; two brothers, Francisco Coronado and Fernando Coronado, and her sister, Maria C. Rodriguez. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews having special relationships with Jane Leon and her husband Julio Leon, Jim and Elizabeth Coronado, Damian Rodriguez, Isaac M., Kiara L., and Julio L.
In addition to her mother, Victoria is predeceased by her brother, Juan Coronado and 4 other siblings.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Msgr. John Grabish as celebrant. Interment will immediately follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale, PA. The family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, May 25th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Milkins Giles Funeral Home, 4914 Kutztown Rd. Temple, PA 19560.
