Thomas Wilson, Hassler, 70, of Blandon, lost his battle with cancer on July 30th in his residence.
He was married to his loving wife, Barbara A. (Wisniewski) Hassler.
Born in Reading, he was the son of Ann Marie (Kern) Hassler who is a resident of the Mifflin Center in Shillington and the late Wilson H. Hassler.
He is survived by a son, Jason Hassler of Wyomissing.
He is also survived by his step children, Bill Houston, Jr., of Fleetwood, Ted Houston of Florida, Kathleen Whitman of Fleetwood, and Susan Kohl of Sinking Spring.
There are five Grandchildren, four Great Grandchildren, and one Great Great Grandchild.
He is survived by his siblings, Christopher Hassler of Honey Brook, James Hassler, husband of Beverly Hassler of Leesport, Jean Weaver, wife of Kenneth Weaver of Blandon, and Nancy Ravel, wife of David Ravel of Maryland.
There are two Nieces and three Nephews.
He attended Reading High School.
He was employed as a Warehouseman for twenty five years for Redner’s Warehouse Markets.
Many years ago he was employed by Percy Brown’s Nursery in Birdsboro.
He enjoyed maintaining his yard and vegetable garden, and tinkering with lawn equipment.
He enjoyed vacation cruises and traveling to the casino.
He loved helping out his family and neighbors, he will be missed by everyone.
Family and friends may attend a Visitation on Monday August 12th from 9 AM until 10 AM with a Memorial Service to follow at 10 AM in the Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home, 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple.
Casual attire is requested.
Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Cancer Research for Children at St Jude.org.
The Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home in Temple is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
