Thomas R. Collins, 80, of Fleetwood, entered into eternal rest, Wednesday, August 12th in his home with all his children by his bedside.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Tom retired from Allstate Boiler of Baltimore, Maryland. During his time in Baltimore, he was a member of the Market Café Fishing Club. Tom loved fishing, golfing, cooking, and the Baltimore Ravens.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Thomas K. Collins and Rose (Valore) Collins Shunk.
He is survived by eight children: Sherry wife of Randy Lockhart of Spring Township; Candace wife of Walter Witman of Fleetwood; Thomas husband of Jen Collins of Fleetwood; James husband of Christine Collins of Fleetwood; Michael husband of Judy Collins of Fleetwood; Tammy Wilson of Baltimore; Misty Sadler and her companion, Jack Metcalf of York; Justin Collins and his companion, Olivia Tobin of Reading; along with 24 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
He also is survived by a wife, Judy Collins of Ocean City, Maryland; a sister, Linda wife of Thomas Mobilio of Wyomissing; and three half-brothers, Pat, Brian and Tommy Collins.
He was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Ferko.
Friends may call on the family prior to the service on Monday, August 20th, between 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon. Services will be held at 12 noon, with the Rev. Bruce Osterhout officiating, at the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, 4914 Kutztown Road, Temple. Burial will follow the service in Berks County Memorial Garden.
