Thomas J. "Slick" Ciesla, Jr., 66, of Centre Twp., passed away with his loving family by his side on Sunday, March 25th in his residence after a long and courageous battle with Berylliosis Disease
He was married to Sharon L. (Brooks) Ciesla. Thomas and Sharon were married on June 16, 1973 and would have celebrated forty five years of marriage this June.
Born in Delaware County, he was a son of the late Thomas J. Ciesla, Sr. and Dorothy Weldon. He was raised by his Aunt and Uncle, Joseph and Gladys Ciesla.
He served in the United States Marine Corp from 1971 until 1977.
He was employed by NGK Beryllium in Muhlenberg Twp., for thirty years.
He loved to ride his Harley Davidson.
He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He belonged to the Hamburg Gun Club, Strausstown Gun Club, Northkill Rod and Gun Club, and Mt. Pleasant Fire Co.
Surviving with his wife Sharon are two daughters, Rachel L. Hoffert and husband Neil Hoffert and Jaclyn R. Stetler and husband Jonathan Stetler both of Leesport.
There are four grandchildren, Samantha and Jase Hoffert, Rhilynn Ciesla and Natalyn Stetler. There is a granddaughter on the way.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 29th at Noon in the Milkins Giles Funeral Home Inc., 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple with Reverend Grant Wickert officiating.
A viewing will be held on Thursday from 10:30 am until the time of the service in the funeral home.
Interment will follow the service in Laureldale Cemetery where military honors will be performed by Topton American legion Post No. 217.
