Theresa K. Gontkovsky, 85 of Reading died May 7, 2015 in St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Township.
She was the wife of Leonard L. Gontkovsky having celebrated over fifty years of marriage.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late John J. and Elfrieda E. (Boldt) Didyoung.
She was employed as a switchboard operator for Reading Brewery until her retirement.
A graduate of Reading Catholic High School, she was a member of St. Margaret Roman Catholic Church where she sang in the choir for many years.
Theresa's brother, William Leo Didyoung, Sr., died May 8, 2015. She was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas J. Didyoung, and a sister, Caroline A. Didyoung.
Other survivors include 1 brother John A. Didyoung husband of Adelaide of Temple, 1 niece and several nephews and their families.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00 AM in St. Margaret RC Church 925 Centre Avenue Reading, PA 19601 with the Rev. Angel Garcia celebrant. Entombment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum. There will be a viewing Tuesday from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Margaret RC Church at the above address.
