Thelma E. Wehr, 93, of Bernville, passed away Saturday December 13th in St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Twp.
Thelma was married to Leon W. Wehr who passed away September 2006.
Born in Lower Heidelberg Twp., she was the daughter of the late Charles Bohn and Florence (Stump) Bohn.
She was employed by the former Berkshire Knitting Mills and formerly as a Chef for Lower Heidelberg School.
She was a member of St. John's (Hain's) United Church of Christ in Wernersville.
Thelma enjoyed sewing, cooking, canning, and always providing for her family and friends.
Thelma was a very selfless and very caring person. She always made sure everyone else, family and friends, were taken care of first.
She was the greatest mother, grandmother, and housewife in the world.
She loved her family very much and was loved by them. She will be greatly missed by everyone.
Surviving are her children, LaVerne D., wife of John K. Shafer of Barnesville, Candace A., wife of Robert L. Lash of Bernville, Susan M. Leffler of Fleetwood, and Rebecca A. Stroebele of Bernville.
She is predeceased by a son, Elton M. Wehr and survived by his wife Dolores Wehr of Womelsdorf.
There are ten grandchildren, Jack, Mike, Mary, Laura, Matthew, Denise, Heather, Kristen, Brent, and Cherish. Also, many great grandchildren.
She is also survived by one brother, Walter J. Bohn of Sinking Spring.
Funeral services will be private with burial to be in St. John's (Hain's) UCC
Cemetery.
