Terry Lee Wasser, 62, of Temple, PA, passed away Friday, August 6th, 2021, at his residence, surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with lymphoma. Born in West Reading, PA, he was the son of the late Franklin and Venita (Arthur) Wasser. Terry was a loving and devoted husband to Kathy (Gensemer) Wasser whom he was married to for 35 years. In addition, he was a wonderful and dedicated father to his two children, daughter Rebecca Wasser, Wyomissing, PA, and son Timothy Wasser, Summerville, SC, husband of Rachel (Krause) Wasser.
Terry was a 1977 graduate of Muhlenberg High School and attended the electrical program at Lincoln Tech. He was employed as a maintenance electrician for 20 years at a power plant in Lebanon, PA, currently Ethos Energy but formerly PPL, Talon, TransCanada, and AES Ironwood. He was previously employed by Georgia Pacific, and his first job as an electrician was at Lessig Electric.
Terry enjoyed working on cars and attending car shows with his Mustang and the love of his life, Kathy. In addition, he liked listening to heavy metal music especially Metallica; traveling; and spending time with friends and family, including his beloved cat Scully.
Terry is also survived by two grandchildren, Liam and Hayley Wasser; his brother Dennis Wasser and wife, Sharon; his aunt, Tillie Wasser; and his extended family of cousins and many friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 14th, at Milkins Funeral Home, 4914 Kutztown Road Temple, PA. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing from 10:00AM – 11:00AM with a memorial service beginning at 11:00 am. A burial will follow in Laureldale Cemetery. Special thanks go out to the staff at Heartland Hospice for their kindness and care for Terry.
