Shirley A. Sellari, 84, of Temple passed away Sunday, July 8th in her residence.
Shirley was married for fifty nine years to the late Joseph J. Sellari who passed away July 7, 2013.
Born in Hamburg, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Lash and Hilda (Reeser) Lash.
She was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church.
She graduated in 1951 from Hamburg High School.
When Shirley was young she was self-employed with her own cleaning service. This enabled her to raise and spend time with her family.
She also was employed by Talbot's Mill and other garment industries in the area.
In 1978, and at the Age of 44, she attended nursing school and received her Licensed Practical Nurse degree.
She went on to be employed for ten years at the Reading Hospital.
Shirley and her late husband Joseph loved to travel. They went on many trips traveling throughout the world.
They were members of the Green Valley Country Club.
Shirley and Joseph loved to go dancing. They especially enjoyed Big Band Music and Ballroom Dancing.
Shirley is survived by her loving daughter Barbara J. Buck, wife of Edward Buck, Jr. of Muhlenberg Twp.
There are three grandchildren, Ross, Nikos, and Cali Tsopinas-Sellari.
She is predeceased by a son, Christopher Sellari who passed away in 2003.
Shirley loved "Molly" her pet dog.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 13th at 10 am in Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, 3121 Kutztown Rd., Hyde Park, Reading, Pa.
A viewing will take place on Friday morning from 9 until 10 am in Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church.
Entombment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery Chapel of Resurrection.
