Shirley M. (Rudolph) Buniski

Shirley Mae Buniski, 83, widow of the late John R. Buniski, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2014 in her residence in Leesport.

She is survived by her children: Stephen H. Lorah, husband of Judith; Linda S. (Lorah) Price, widow of Russell; Harry I. Lorah, husband of Andrea; Kathie L. "Cookie" (Lorah) Moyer, wife of Glenn; Joan Buniski Groves, wife of Michael; David Henke; and Judith (Buniski) Trievel; her sixteen grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Shirley was predeceased by her husband, John R. Buniski, her parents, Wayne A. Rudolph and Elizabeth K. Rudolph, and brother, Wayne R. Rudolph.

Born September 27, 1930, Shirley spent most of her time raising her children. Later, she worked in a daycare when her children were older. Shirley loved being a part of her family members' lives, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, with whom she spent a significant amount of time. One of her favorite things was ice cream, which she would enjoy often. She was a member of Friedens UCC in Oley and made close ties with other members of her congregation. Shirley was the uniting bond of her family, and was the reason that they could come together and get along.

A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. at the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc., 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple, PA.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in Laureldale Cemetery.
