Sarah F. Ahrens, 80, of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, formerly of Temple, died Friday, July 19, 2013 in the Hardin Memorial Hospital, Elizabethtown, Kentucky.
Sarah was the widow of Mark L. Ahrens who died in 1999. They had shared a marriage of thirty years.
Born in Youngstown, Ohio on February 16, 1933 she was the daughter of the late Gabrile and Maddalena (Gabbippini) Cagnetti.
Surviving are a daughter Jennifer M. Ahrens with whom she resided and a son, Jon K. husband of Kristin L. Ahrens of Reinholds, PA.
She loved her two grandchildren; Mark and Lily Ahrens.
Also surviving are three sisters; Louise Durinzi of Douglassville, Carmella Santoni of Temple, and Mary L. Fitzgerald of Riverview Park.
Sarah was a member of Holy Guardian Angel's Roman Catholic Church, and a 1950 graduate of Muhlenberg High School.
She had been employed as a folder by the former Hantex Knitting Mills of Temple.
Sarah loved sharing time with her family and enjoyed music.
Mass of Christian Burial from Holy Guardian Angel's Roman Catholic Church on Friday at 10:00 A.M. Entombment in Gethsemane Mausoleum.
Family will receive friends on Friday beginning at 8:00 A.M. in the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc. 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple, PA until the funeral cortège departs for the Mass.
