Ruth E. Koehler, 86, of Muhlenberg Twp., passed away Friday, January 22nd in the Reading Hospital.
Born in Windsor Twp., she was the daughter of the late John Stoudt and Eva (Bower) Stoudt.
Ruth was the wife of Kenneth Rothenberger who passed away in 1973, she was the companion of Jack Rothenberger who passed away in 1987, and she was the wife of Joseph Koehler who passed away in 2005.
Ruth was employed by the former Western Electric in Reading, Rothenberger's Meats in the Fairgrounds Market, and Square Deal Fruit Store in Reading.
She was a member of West Wyomissing Chapel.
She enjoyed playing cards, especially poker, while entertaining and cooking in her home.
She is survived by her children, Tracy (Rothenberger) Reider, wife of Kevin of Muhlenberg Twp., Carol Peipher widow of John Peipher of Flying Hills, and Keith Rothenberger and wife Connie of Maidencreek Twp.
There are five grandchildren, Amber Grosso, Amanda Reider, Shelley Kugi, Michael Bernardo and wife Nicole, and Megan Rothenberger.
Also, two great grandchildren, Juliana and Michael Bernardo Jr.
There are two siblings, Helen Becker of Laureldale and Joseph Stoudt of Temple.
She is predeceased by nine siblings.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 27th at 2:30 pm in the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc., 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple with Rev. Brett Reider officiating.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 1:30 pm until time of service in the funeral home.
Interment will be private in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
