Ruth V. (Ruppert) Geissler, 91, of Wernersville, PA passed away on Monday, June 12, 2017.
Born on Sept.4, 1925, in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Bertie (Hartman) Ruppert.
Ruth was the wife of Russell H. Geissler, who passed away in 1988.
She was a lifelong member of Peace Lutheran Church in Reading, PA.
Ruth was a member of the Berks Christmas Tree Growers Assoc. for numerous years. She and her husband Russell were the developers and owners of Christmas Pines Campgrounds until 1987. Ruth enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and many friends.
She is survived by her loving sister, Shirley Bucks, of Wyomissing, PA.
Ruth is also survived by her children: R. Darrell husband of Beverly Geissler; Robin wife of Jerry Andrews; Lyndell (Kip) wife of Robert Auchenbach: Rickey husband of Anna Geissler and Cory, husband of Laura Geissler. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren: Shawn Geissler, Kristen (Geissler)Selvage, Melissa (Auchenbach) Jernigan, Jennifer Auchenbach, Kate (Geissler) Costenbader, Kelly (Geissler) Piccioni, Courtnie (Geissler)Nein, Travis Geissler, Larissa (Geissler) Bean, and 15 great-grandchildren - Megan, Rose, Peyton, Makenna, Maddisen, Lillian, Bodie, Tyler, Landon, Cady, Adalynn, Graham, Sadie, Colt, Huck.
Plus numerous nieces and nephew.
In addition to her husband, Ruth is predeceased by her grandson, Micah Andrews, and her brother-in-law, Robert Bucks.
She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
A memorial service will be held in Peace Lutheran Church, 1728 Centre Ave, Reading, PA 19601 on Saturday, June 17 at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Reverend Robin L. Henry. The family will receive friends and relatives from 10 - 11:00 a.m.
Interment will be private at Forest Hills Cemetery.
