Russell D. Lewis

Russell D. Lewis, 85, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on  April 11, 2021 at the Pottstown Hospital.

Born on May 19, 1935 in Penn Township, he was a son to the late Karl and Cassia (Pottieger) Lewis.

Russell was a proud Veteran of the United States Army having served in the Korean War. He was employed as a Knitting Mill Machine Installer for Rockwell for 18 years before his retirement. Russell was a longtime member of the Reading Fairgrounds Racing Historical Society.

Russell is survived by his loving sons, Robert T. Lewis, husband of Cheryl, of Mohnton, Russell D. Lewis, Jr., husband of Kelly, of Oley, and  David A. Lewis, husband of Samantha, of Pottstown, 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 10:00 am  in St. Thomas Cemetery in Bernville.
