Russell Frederick Henne

Russell Frederick Henne, 91, of North Heidelberg Twp., peacefully passed away Thursday in his home.

Born in Leesport, he was the son of the late Daniel Frederick Henne and Irene Marie (Wink) Henne.

Russell was married to the late Gertrude G. (Golden) Henne who passed away in 2012. He was also predeceased by a son, Brian Anthony Henne in 1983.

Surviving is a son, Brett Alan Henne of North Heidelberg Twp. Russell leaves his 3 Grandchildren; Abigail May Henne of Maryland, and twin Grandchildren Paige Nicole Henne and Brian Frederick Henne both of California.

Russell is also survived by his 4 siblings, Doris Guerin, Nancy Faust, Marilyn Miller, and Dennis P. Henne.

Russell graduated from Ontelaunee High School and served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War.

For thirty years, he worked for the phone company, retiring from AT&T. After retirement, Russell, alongside his late wife Gertrude, co-managed the Country Village Community in Orange City Florida for another twenty years.

Russell was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved the outdoors.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Francis de Sales Church, 320 Church St., Robesonia on Friday, August 16th at 11 AM.

A viewing will be held in the church from 10 AM until 11 AM.

Burial will be in Graysville Cemetery in Furnace PA, on Friday August 16th at 3:30 PM.

The Kirkhoff Funeral Home in Bernville is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
