Roseann S. Zimmerman,75, passed away on April 10, 2025, at Reading Hospital, surrounded by the warmth of her family. Born on February 10, 1950, in West Reading, she filled the lives of those around her with joy and creativity.
Throughout her life, Roseann dedicated herself to her career in baking, working alongside her husband, George, in various bakeries throughout Reading. Her most recent position was at Old Dutch Bakeries in Blandon, where her passion for her craft could be seen in every item she lovingly prepared.
Roseann was a devoted member of the United Church of Christ in Temple. Her interests extended beyond her professional life; she was an enthusiastic collector of Elvis and M&M memorabilia, which showcased her vibrant personality. Additionally, she enjoyed working with ceramics, a hobby that allowed her creativity to flourish.
She is survived by her sons, Ronald Zimmerman and George M. Zimmerman, along with her beloved grandchildren, Franchesca, Taylor, the husband of Kaitlin, and Brandon. Roseann's siblings, John Painter and his wife Marsha, and Susan.
The legacy of Roseann is further enriched by the love of those who preceded her in death, including her husband, George A. Zimmerman, with whom she shared 38 years of marriage at his time of passing, parents, Martin and Jane (Painter) Koch, and her sons, George A. "Butch" Zimmerman, Jr., and Rodney Zimmerman
A graveside service to honor her life will be held on April 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Maidencreek Church Cemetery in Blandon, Pennsylvania. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate the life of a remarkable woman who touched the hearts of many.
