Ronald E. ""Mike"" Kershner

September 17, 1944 — December 9, 2014

Ronald E. "Mike" Kershner, 70, of Penn Twp, passed away Tuesday December 9th in St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Twp., of natural causes.

Mike was married for fifty one years to Georgia A. (Owen) Kershner.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Charles and Ida (Borrell) Kershner.

He was employed as a cabinet maker by the former Rich Kraft Kitchens in Robesonia and Fleetwood Industries in Leesport where he retired.

He attended Friedens Lutheran Church in Bernville.

Mike was a member of the Pretzel City Rod & Custom Car Club in Reading.

Surviving along with his wife are his children, Mark Allen Kershner, husband of Michelle of Robesonia, Michalene Ann, wife of Douglas Berg of Bernville, Matthew Charles Kershner, husband of Susan of Lake Wyonah, and Marlin Peter Kershner, husband of Lisa of Lebanon.
He is predeceased by a son Michael Eugene Kershner.

There are seven grandchildren, Kristen and Branden Kershner, Nicholas Berg, Ryan and Kyle Kershner, Nathan Berg, and Kayley Kershner.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th at 10:30 am in the Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main St., Bernville with Rev. Robert Argot officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. A viewing will be held on Tuesday morning from 9:30 am until time of service in the funeral home.
