Ronald E. Haas, 83, of Muhlenberg Twp., passed away Monday December 9th in his residence with his loving family by his side.
He was married for sixty three years to Mildred (Valeriano) Haas.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Edgar T. Haas and Leona (Gutekunst) Toye.
He owned and operated the Yellow & Charlie's Cab Co. in Reading, selling it in 1978. He then owned and operated the R & R Trucking Service in Temple retiring in 2002.
He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He also enjoyed traveling to the casinos.
Surviving with his wife Mildred are two children, Linda L., wife of Barry Wentzel of Laureldale and R. Jeffrey Haas, husband of Julie (Franklin) Haas of Temple.
There are three grandchildren, Todd S. Wentzel and wife Jennifer, Tonya M. (Wentzel) Miller, and Matthew Haas and wife Laurel. There is one step granddaughter, Page Franklin.
Also, five great grandchildren, Ashlie and Kelsie Miller, Nicholas Wentzel, and Jordan and Austin Haas.
A viewing will be held on Friday December 13th from 9:30 until 10:30 am in the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc. 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple.
Funeral service and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
