Roland Erney, 98, of Laureldale, passed away on May 1, 2024 in his son's residence surrounded by his loving family.

Born on August 19, 1925, in Mt. Carmel, he was the husband of the late Shirley M. (Firestone) Erney whom passed away in 2004. 
 
During his remarkable journey, Roland proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, showcasing his bravery and commitment to his country. However, it was not only his military service that defined him but also his passion for spending time with his grandchildren and his love for golfing. Roland was an avid golfer who found peace and joy on the greens. A dedicated individual who worked for Lucent Technologies, formerly AT&T for 30 years, has left behind a legacy filled with cherished memories and accomplishments. In addition to his professional career and hobbies, Roland had a profound love for riding his bike, especially when accompanied by his beloved grandchildren. 

Roland  is survived by his son Jeffrey A. Erney, husband of Deborah A. (Pavlacka), along with his grandchildren Christopher M. Erney (husband of Chelsea), Matthew S. Erney, and Kyle J. Erney (companion of Crystal Burr). His great-grandchildren Chloe, Charissa, Gianna, Skylar, and Raegan will also continue to cherish the legacy he has left behind.

Services will held privately at the convivence of the family. 

Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
