Robert E. "Bob" Yoe, 93, of Muhlenberg Twp., passed away Friday evening, July 22nd in his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Bob was married to Mary E. (Richardson) Yoe. Bob and Mary were married August 21, 1946 and would be married seventy loving years this year.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Robert C. Yoe and Irene (Weber) Yoe.
Bob graduated from Reading High School in 1941.
He served in the U. S. Army during WW II in the Pacific Theater serving in a Amphibious Tank Battalion. He served from March 8, 1943 until January 31, 1946. He was decorated with the Good Conduct Medal, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with two Bronze Stars, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign with two bronze stars, and One Bronze Arrowhead WW II Victory Medal.
He was employed by Trim Master as a supervisor and foreman for fifty five years.
He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Reading.
He enjoyed fishing, especially in the Chesapeake Bay, watching NASCAR Races, and was a Washington Redskins Fan.
Bob loved spending time with his wife and family. He especially enjoyed attending his great grandchildren's sporting and musical events.
Additional survivors include his son, George G. Yoe and wife Marileen of Hamburg.
There are two granddaughters, Pamela Yoe and Melissa Yoe-Laity and husband Christopher.
Also, five great grandchildren, Dakota Downing, Jordan Yoe-Laity, Riley Yoe-Laity, Logan Yoe-Laity, and Morgan Carvajal.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
Bob's family would like to extend a special thank you to the caring staff of Heartland Hospice in Wyomissing for the dedicated care they provided to Bob and his family. Also, a special thank you to Dr. Jeffrey Hassel for the many years of loving care.
