Robert W. Plantholt, 92, of Fleetwood, passed away Monday, March 30th, in the Mifflin Center where he was a resident for one month.
He was the widower of the late Adelaide R. (Siedlecki) Plantholt who passed away in 1980. He was predeceased by his long time companion of twenty three years, Betty C. Malandra who passed away in 2004.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Harry and Mary (Rhoades) Plantholt.
He was the owner and operator of the former Avenue Glass Service in West Wyomissing for many years.
He served in the Marines during WW II.
Surviving is one son, Gary D. Plantholt of Hastings, PA. He is predeceased by a daughter, Otona E. Iwanowski who passed away in 2012.
He is survived by his late companion, Betty C. Malandra's daughters, Robin D., wife of Paul Stannard of Birdsboro and Lisa A., wife of Rick Shower of Gettysburg.
There is one sister, Evelyn Jablonski of Wyomissing and he is predeceased by a sister, Helen Ahrens.
There are five grandchildren, Theresa, Jennifer, Michael, Rebecca, and Douglas and five great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 3rd at 1pm in the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc., 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple with Rev. Grant Wickert officiating. Interment will follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held on Friday from noon until 1 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League, P. O.
