Robert D. Evans Sr

Robert D. Evans, Sr., 84, of Bernville passed away Monday, December 19th in the Reading Hospital.
He was married for fifty four years to Janice G. (Kramer) Evans.
Born in Pottsville, he was the son of the late Frederic and Anna (Leonard) Evans.
He was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church in Bernville.
He served in the Army during the Korean War.
He was employed by Textile Machine Works which became Rockwell International for over twenty five years.
Additional survivors include two children, Kay A. Evans of Newmanstown and Robert D. Evans, Jr. and wife Carol L. Callaghan-Evans of Centreville, VA.
There are two grandchildren, Patrick M. Evans and Sean F. Evans.
He is predeceased by a brother, Richard F. Evans.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 22nd at 10:30 am in the Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main St., Bernville with Rev. Robert Argot officiating.
A viewing will be held on Thursday morning from 9:30 am until time of service in the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven, PA.
