Robert W. "Bobby" Eschbach
July 2, 1926 — May 4, 2017
Robert W. "Bobby" Eschbach, 90, of Blandon, passed away Thursday, May 4th in the Laurel Center in Tilden Twp.
He was married to Anna (Ohlinger) Eschbach for sixty nine years.
Born in Ruscombmanor Twp., he was the son of the late William Eschbach and Effie Matilda (Becker) Eschbach.
Robert retired from the Reading Railroad, then Conrail, with forty four years of service.
Robert enjoyed fishing, gardening, and woodworking. He was a member of the Blandon Fire Co. and a life member of the Temple Fire Co.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Beverly A. DeLong and husband Michael of Leesport and Brenda L. Horner and husband Brian of Blandon.
There are two grandchildren, Steven M. DeLong and wife Rebecca and Stephanie E. DeLong who is engaged to Jamie Brown.
There is one great grandchild, Owen DeLong.
Bobby is survived by a sister, Pearl "Dolly" Shuman, widow of Ralph Shuman of Fleetwood.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 9th at 10:30 am in the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc., 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple with Rev. Patrick W. Morris officiating.
A viewing will take place on Tuesday morning from 9:30 am until time of service in the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Maidencreek Cemetery, Blandon, PA.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Blandon Fire Co., 36 W. Wesner Rd., Blandon, PA 19510.
