Robert D. Bucks

Robert D. Bucks, 88, a resident of The Highlands at Wyomissing passed away on April 27th. He was the husband of Shirley M. (Ruppert) Bucks. They shared a loving marriage of sixty-seven years.

Robert was born in Reading on July 20, 1927. He was the son of the late William W. and
Emma (Feather) Bucks.

Robert is the father of Pamela, wife of Michael Ferraro of Gilbertsville and Thomas, husband of Susan Bucks of Holmdel, NJ. He is predeceased by a son, Robert Todd Bucks.

Mr. Bucks was blessed with six grandchildren: Christyann, wife of Scott Pulliam, Jason, husband of Allison Bucks, Matthew Bucks, Beth Ferraro, Laura, wife of Peter
Tedesco, and Karen, wife of Joseph Parisi. He is also survived by six great grandchildren: Natalie, Wesley, Gregory, Avery, Cora, and Caroline; plus many nieces and nephews.

He is survived by a sister-in-law, Ruth Geissler. Robert was predeceased by six sisters, and two brothers. Dorothy Levan, Carrie Moyer, Esther Hufford, Grace Reichart, Ruth Kline, Evelyn Martin, William Bucks, and Richard Bucks.

Mr. Bucks was a lifetime member of Peace Lutheran Church. He graduated from Reading
High School in the Class of 1945. He was a volunteer member of the former Riverside Fire Company.

Robert served his country in the United States Navy, and was employed for forty-four years by Carpenter Technology.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday May 14th at The Highlands, 2000 Cambridge Avenue, Wyomissing, Pa. 19610. A private burial will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered in Robert's memory to Peace Lutheran Church, 1728 Centre Avenue, Reading, Pa. 19601 or the charity of your choosing.
