Ricky L. Stewart, 67, passed away unexpectedly on August 13, 2021. Originally from Muhlenberg Township, he was the son of the late Nancy J. (Cowley) Stewart and Herschel T. Stewart.
Ricky graduated from Muhlenberg High School in 1972 and then the Sheet Metal Worker’s Apprenticeship Program in Shoemakersville.
He was retired from CarTech, having previously worked for the Sheet Metal Worker’s Local 19 for 25 years. He was a PIAA and American Legion Baseball Umpire, as well as a PIAA Basketball Referee since 2004.
Rick was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and he enjoyed playing the lottery, NASCAR, golfing, hunting and fishing, but most of all his Grandchildren, who were all the love of his life.
In addition to his wife, Sandra G. (Bendrick) Stewart, he leaves behind two sons Rick L. Stewart husband of Amber M. (McEntire) Stewart of Tioga County, and Michael J. Stewart husband of Stephanie L. (Spahn) Stewart of Pittsburgh; a brother Don E. Stewart husband of Donna (Schleicher) Stewart of Auburn, Brian S. Stewart husband of Dawn Stewart of Fleetwood, and a sister Cheryl A. (Stewart) Zissa wife of John Zissa of Exeter Township; Grandsons Jacob T. Stewart and Zachary D. Stewart of Tioga County, Granddaughter Rachel Kate Stewart of Tioga County and Millie Kate Stewart of Pittsburgh, a brother-in-law, David S. Bendrick of Reading and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased in death by his daughter Amanda Kate Stewart.
A celebration of life will be held for his family and friends on Saturday, August 21st at 1 p.m. at St. Marco’s Society, 4945 Commerce St, Temple, PA 19560.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to his four Grandchildren’s Custodial Accounts in care of Michael Stewart at 1410 Juniata Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15233.
