Richard F. Swavely 88 formerly of Temple died Tuesday morning at 2:46 A.M. in the Manor Care, Sinking Spring where he had been a guest for the past six days.
Dick was born in South Temple on October 31, 1926. He was the son of the late Paul S. and Cora L. (Dunkelberg) Swavely
Mr. Swavely owned the former Dick's Barber Shop in Temple for twenty-seven years, and then was a custodian for Muhlenberg School District for eight years retiring in 1984.
Dick served his country in the United States Army during World War II as a medic. He was a graduate of Reading High School
Surviving is a brother, Donald F. Swavely of Reading. Also, surviving are two nephews, Gregory A. & Bradley S. Swavely.
Graveside services Friday at 10:30 A.M. in Good Shepherd Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township with Reverend John Folk officiating.
