Richard Ortiz Sr., 55 of Muhlenberg Twp. died unexpectedly in his home on Friday, July 28, 2017. Born in Bronx, NY on December 8, 1961, Richard was the son of Irma (Rivera) Ortiz. He was also a resident of Florida for several years.
Richard was a local technician for Comcast, retiring after over 20-years of employment. He was an E8, Master Sergeant in the United States Army; proud to serve his country for 10-years. Richard enjoyed fishing when he lived in Florida. An avid sports fan, his favorite teams were the Yankees and Giants. Richard was a car enthusiast, he loved his Cadillacs.
In addition to his mother, Richard is survived by his loving son, Richard S. Ortiz, Jr of West Reading; two brothers, Elliot Ortiz and Johnny Ortiz; his Uncle Gello Zayas-Green and Aunt Noemi Zayas-Green.
Services for Richard are respectfully private and will be held at the convenience of his family.
