Richard E. "Rich" Kochel, 87 of Shillington, died Wednesday in Exeter Township at the residence of his loving companion, Jeanne E. DeAngelo.
Richard was formerly married to Lee (Kochel) Smith, who precedes him in death.
Rich was born in Kenhorst on September 27, 1927. He was the son of the late Frank and Dorothy (Esterly) Kochel.
Surviving is a daughter, Cynthia (Cindy) L. wife of Dr. Michael R. Mohn of Shillington; and a son Glenn R. husband of Lisa Ann Kochel of Winchester, Virginia.
Richard had four loving grandchildren, Mallory, Alison, Brad, and Heather
Two great grandchildren, Garrett and Natalie
Rich graduated from the former Shillington High School in the class of 1945.
Richard served his country during World War II in the United States Army and the Korean conflict in the United States Air Force.
Mr. Kochel's lifetime occupation was owner and operator of RICH-KO SIGNS which he ran from his home.
Richard was a member of the Clover Park Athletic Association, Shillington.
He enjoyed motorcycling, traveling in his R.V., and photography.
Graveside services Saturday at 2:00 P.M. at St. John's Cemetery, Gibraltar, PA with Reverend Deborah Moore officiating.
