Raymond (Ray) V. Bossler, born on April 29, 1948, in West Reading, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2025, at St. Joseph Medical Center, with loving family members by his side. He leaves behind a legacy of happiness, innocence, kindness, warmth, and an unyielding spirit that will forever be cherished by all who knew him.
Ray was born to the late Raymond H. and Dollie E. (Heckman) Bossler. His love for family was paramount, and he nurtured deep connections with his siblings: Robert T. Bossler, Connie Y. Skipper, wife of David, and Timothy B. Bossler. These relationships provided him joy and laughter throughout his vibrant life.
As an uncle, Ray embraced his role with love and dedication. He proudly watched his nieces and nephews grow and enjoyed spending time with them especially at Christmas and Thanksgiving, his favorite holidays. He is mourned by Corrine Fetherolf, Elaina Pagels, wife of Alex Pagels, Erika Alba, wife of Manuel Alba, Christopher Skipper, husband of Gina Skipper, and Jennifer Elliker, wife of Alexander Elliker. Raymond found immense joy in his great nieces and nephews: Finn Skipper, Turck Skipper, Juliette Elliker, Memphis Elliker, Maddex Hicks, Liam Fetherolf, Paxton Fetherolf, Pepper Pagels, Miles Alba, and Piper Alba.
Ray was a lifelong member of Epiphany Lutheran Church where he enjoyed singing hymns and attending services and church activities. Later in life he regularly attended services at the Phoebe Berks chapel with his Phoebe family and friends. His love for Jesus was unwavering. Ray lived a life characterized by kindness, compassion and resilience. He touched the hearts of everyone who had the fortune to cross his path, leaving a lasting imprint of love, innocence, and laughter. His legacy continues through the stories and beautiful memories of his love of music, silly jokes, Christmas, Halloween, ghost stories, alligators, trains, and his unforgettable smile etched in the hearts of his family and friends.
As we remember Raymond, we celebrate not just the man he was but the bond he created within his family and friends. Each moment shared with him was a gift, and his absence is profoundly felt. However, his spirit and love will forever remain as a beacon of hope, guiding those he cherished through their journey ahead.
The family wishes to express deep appreciation for the extraordinary kindness provided by caregivers and staff of Phoebe Berks Health Center and also the compassionate care provided by the St. Josephs Medical Center ICU staff.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ray’s honor should be made to Phoebe Ministries (Please write in the memo area: Donation for Phoebe Berks Health Care Center Activity Department) and sent to the attention of:
