Philip L. "Peanuts" Englehart, 83, of Laureldale, passed away Thursday, August 7th in his home.
He was the widower of Esther M. (Heimbach) Englehart, who passed away in 1994.
Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late Charles and Ada May (Moyer) Englehart.
Philip was employed by Carpenter Technology for over 20 years, retiring in 1993.
He had been involved with Reading Fairgrounds Stockcar Racing and enjoyed fishing and bowling.
He lived for his family and friends.
Survivors include his children: Nancy L. Walter of Cary, NC; David A. Englehart, husband of Cheryl P. (Worley), of Shillington; and Donald A. Englehart, husband of Janice S. (Hughes), of Elgin, SC.
There are two grandchildren: Adam D. Englehart of Philadelphia and Gregg A. Walter, husband of Maria, of Temple; one step-grandson, Joseph L. Craig; and one great-granddaughter, Giselle.
He is also survived by long-time friend and caregiver, Gladys.
Philip was predeceased by his six siblings.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 13th, at 11 a.m. at the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc., 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple, PA with Pastor David Reinwald officiating.
Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton.
There will be a viewing Tuesday from 6:30 until 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
