PAULINE W. BENSINGER, 97, of Temple, PA, died Monday, May 15, 2017 at St. Joseph Medical Center. For 53 years, she was the loving wife of the late Charles R. Bensinger who passed December 9, 1996. A lifelong resident of Temple, Pauline worked as a seamer for the former Maidencreek Hosiery and Lyons Knitwear until retiring in 1985. She was often found with crochet and knitting needles in her hand; creating her next work of art to keep someone warm or to give as a gift. Pauline enjoyed seeking small treasures at yard sales and keeping her own yard groomed and tidy. Most of all she loved when her family stopped in to visit; feeding them her latest Dutch-style loaf cakes, shoofly pie, and various cakes and cookies that she loved to bake. Pauline was a devoted Christian; a lifetime member of the Christ Church UCC where she attended every Sunday. Pauline is survived by two sons, Robert D. Bensinger and his wife Kathy L. of West Lawn and David C. Bensinger and his wife Pat A. of Hamburg; four grandchildren, Thomas Himmelberger and his wife Jocelyn, Justin Bensinger and his wife Jennifer, Cybill Reppert, Matthew Bensinger and his companion Lisa.
