Paul W. Christ, 94, of Muhlenberg Twp., passed away Thursday, September 18th at St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Twp.

He was predeceased by his wife of 44 years, Ruth A. (Stitzer) Christ who died in August 1986.

Born in Leesport, PA, he was the son of the late Herbert and Helen E. (Reber) Christ. Paul is predeceased by 5 brothers and 1 sister.

Paul proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII.

He had been employed by Ontelaunee Orchards, Berkshire Knitting Mill, and retired from IRA O. Fisher Appliances as an appliance repairman.

Paul loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and camping. He was an avid gardener and oversaw annual "scrapple making day" each year. Paul loved life and always kept busy. He was a beautiful example of humility, loyalty, and love to his family.

He was a member of Rosedale United Church of Christ, Laureldale, where he was formerly a Deacon and Boy Scout Leader.

Surviving are his children: Richard P. Christ, husband of Patrecia of Alsace Twp.; and David L. Christ of Laureldale.
There are three grandchildren: Chad M., husband of Patricia A., Joshua A., husband of Melisa, and Elisa M. Christ; and six great-grandchildren: Dawson, Farren, Joshua Jr., Helena, Noah, and Zach.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 23rd at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel at Laureldale Cemetery, Rt. 61 and Tuckerton Rd., Reading, PA with Rev. Jo Ellen Mauger officiating.
Interment will follow in Laureldale Cemetery.
There will be a viewing from 10 a.m. until time of service in the chapel.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Paul's memory may be made to Rosedale United Church of Christ, 1301 E. Bellevue Ave., Reading, PA 19605.
