Patricia A. (Gernert) Shultz, 82, Laureldale, passed away October 28, 2014 at home.

Born January 24, 1932 in Laureldale, PA. Patricia was the daughter of the late Richard and Ruth (Clark) Gernert.

On November 1, 1952 she married Leon R. Shultz, who passed away June 15, 2007.

A 1949 graduate of Muhlenberg High School, she went on to work at The Berks County Trust Company and Paul Keagy Produce.

Patricia was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale, where she had been involved with a number of committees and activities in earlier years. She taught Sunday School, was active with Bible study groups, the Ladies AID (WELCA), and the leader of the prayer chain.

She was a member of the Laureldale Garden Club and a charter member of TOPS, Reading 500. She was an active participant in raising money for the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation.

Patricia was a very loving, devoted and caring daughter, wife and mother, whose most cherished moments involved spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving are two sons: Luke R. and wife, Kim L. Shultz, Bernville and Daniel P. Shultz, at home; and a daughter, Susan A., wife of Douglas R. Holub, Oak Ridge, Tenn.

She was predeceased by a son, Frederick L. Shultz and a sister, Jeanette R. Leuchak.

Other survivors include six grandchildren: Benjamin L., Katie M. and Jacob D. Shultz; Crystal M., and Forrest D. Holub; Alaethia C., wife of Jeff Bahlmann; and two great grandchildren Elijah A., and Eleanor C. Bahlmann.
She also leaves behind nieces, a nephew, neighbors and friends.

Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in Milkins Giles Funeral Home Inc., 4914 Kutztown Road, Temple, with the Rev. Thomas Irwin officiating. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Tuckerton. Friends may call Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the services.
