Norma Jean Boyer, 74, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away at her residence on July 6, 2024. Born on May 13, 1950, Norma lived a life filled with love, creativity, and devotion to her family. She truly was a beacon of joy and was always ready to joke to lighten the mood and bring a smile to everyone's face. Her infectious laughter and warm personality made her beloved by all who knew her.
Norma's warm and loving personality shone brightest when she was surrounded by her family, especially her cherished grandchildren. They were all the light of her life; Her grandchildren truly were her whole world. Norma had a special bond with each one of them - Chase, Cailin, Brody, and Emma - and their memories together will forever be treasured.
In addition to her passion for family, Norma had many hobbies and interests that brought her joy. She found solace in crafting, crocheting, painting, embroidery, and creating doilies and prayer shawls. Norma also was a member of Maidencreek Church in Blandon.
Norma's memory will be forever cherished by her surviving family members: her mother Fern Shuman; Children Bruce J. Dissinger Jr., husband of Karen, and Kristen Dissinger, companion of Chad Wunsch; siblings William Shuman, Luann Shuman, Eileen Wealand (wife of Jim), and Leona Smith (wife of Michael); nieces Katie, Amy, Sarah, Shelby, and Samantha; great-nieces Cora, Ava, and Mia; as well as great-nephews Jaxon, Emerson, and Oliver.
She is predeceased by her father, Lee Shuman but leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and resilience. Norma will be remembered for her boundless love, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Visitation for Norma Jean Boyer will be held at Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home, 4914 Kutztown Road, Temple, on July 29th from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM.
Burial will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Norma's name may be made to Maidencreek Church, 261 Main St Blandon PA 19510.
