Natalie A. Hazard, 92, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away on February 21, 2021 in her residence with her husband by her side.
Born on December 31, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Clinton H. and Sybil M. (Calkin) Smith in Brooklyn, NY. Natalie was the wife of Charles D. Hazard with whom she shared 45 years of marriage. Charles and Natalie were married on December 10, 1976 in Kensington, Maryland having their vows exchanged in the DC Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with a reception in Brooklyn, New York.
She was enrolled at Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York for one year and graduated from New Jersey State Teachers College at Trenton in 1978 with a Bachelor's Degree in education and art. For a number of years Natalie worked for the Norton Simon Company in New York City as a bookkeeper and a supervisor of accounts payable. Natalie enjoyed water color painting and was an avid gardener with a true “green thumb.” She was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Natalie and her husband served a one year mission with their church in Ennis, Montana. She loved children and teaching children’s classes at the Church. She also sang in the Church Choir which she sometimes directed.
Natalie is survived by her loving spouse of 45 years, Charles D. Hazard and one cousin, Fiona Calkin of Wraysbury, Bucks County, England.
A Viewing will be held on March 10, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. with services beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home, 4914 Kutztown Road, Temple, Pennsylvania 19560.
Burial will take place in the Society of Friends Cemetery in Fallsington, PA on April 21, 2021 at 12:00 p.m.
