Mildred (Mickey) Stoudt, 86, of Rile's Home Aide Haven, Myerstown, formerly of Adamstown, passed away Thursday July 9th under hospice care at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, Wayne L. Stoudt in 2000.
Born in Strausstown, she was the daughter of the late Charles Mengel and Mabel (Stine) Mengel.
Mickey was employed for nine years at Bollman's Hat Factory in Adamstown. She retired from Maier's Bakery in Reading with twenty nine years of service.
Mickey was a member of Friedens Church in Shartlesville and attended Adamstown EC Church. She was a active member of the Adamstown VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
The family enjoyed boating and waterskiing on the Schuylkill River and clamming in Delaware, while her children were growing up.
Mickey and her late husband Wayne's greatest joy was going to their cabin in the Shartlesville area of the Blue Mountains, which they built together along with many family members. They loved having family and friends for picnics, clambakes, and holiday dinners at the cabin.
Mickey is survived by three children, Donald Stoudt, husband of Dee Stoudt of Denver,PA, Carlene Walters, wife of Galen Walters of Denver,PA, and Rhodene Kuhn, wife of Craig Kuhn of Mohnton.
There is one brother, Lester Mengel of Bernville.
There are five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 15th at 11 am in the Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main St., Bernville with Rev. Jeffrey R. Hain officiating. Interment will follow in Friedens Church Cemetery in Shartlesville. A viewing will be held on Wednesday morning from 10 am until time of service in the funeral home.
