Michael J. Gusley, Jr., 67, passed away in the Reading Hospital Wednesday, June 26, at 4:52 P.M. where he was admitted on June 13th.
He was the husband of Tamara J. (Miller) Gusley, with whom he shared 47 years of marriage.
Born March 3, 1946 in Pottsville, he was the son of the late Michael J. Gusley, Sr. and Catherine (Rufus) Gusley.
Michael graduated Muhlenberg High School in 1964. He was employed as a signal man with the former Conrail for 25 years, retiring in 1995. He was also a member of the Brotherhood of Signalmen.
Michael was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting and was a member of the Perry Twp. Gun Club. He also enjoyed fishing, especially at Bethany Beach, Delaware.
Surviving along with his wife are a daughter, Dineen A., wife of Daniel A. Doaty of Robeson Twp. and a son, Bryan M. Gusley, husband of Melanie Sorokach of Exeter Twp. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren: Dillan Gusley, Jay Doaty, Dustin Gusley, and Ryan Gusley and 1 step-grandchild, Justin Sorokach.
A graveside service will be held at Laureldale Cemetery, 4631 Pottsville Pike, Reading, PA 19605 on Monday, July 1, at 10:00 A.M. with Reverend Christopher M. Zelonis officiating.
