Melissa A. (Himmelberger) Messner

Melissa A. Messner, 52, of Bernville passed away Sunday, January 6th in Tower Health, Reading Hospital

Melissa shared a loving marriage of twenty six years with her husband Richard D. Messner.

Born in West Reading, she was the daughter of the late Ronald Himmelberger and Elizabeth (Bender) Himmelberger.

Melissa was a 1984 graduate of Tulpehocken High School.

Melissa was formerly employed at Berks Heim for twenty eight years.

Melissa was a member of St. Thomas Church in Bernville.

Additional survivors include a daughter, Alyssa Messner of Bernville.

Also a sister, Deb Hosler, wife of Jerry Hosler of Sinking Spring, a niece Alison Hosler also of Sinking Spring, and a nephew Joseph Hosler of Arlington, VA.

There is a sister in law, Elsie Ritchie, wife of Leon Ritchie, a niece, Makenna Ritchie, and a nephew Logan Ritchie all of Myerstown.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 11th at 11 am in the Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main St., Bernville with Pastor Rev. Dr. Daniel Lute officiating.

A viewing will be held on Friday morning from 10 am until the time of the funeral service.

Interment will follow in Strausstown Cemetery.
