Mary "Rita" Russo
December 7, 1932 — January 9, 2017
Mary "Rita" Russo, 84, of Muhlenberg Twp., passed away Monday, January 9th in the Reading Hospital.
Mary was the loving wife for fifty eight years of Philip Russo.
Born in Jersey City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Raymond J. O'Brien and May (Smith) O'Brien.
She was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church.
She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, attending flea markets with her husband, and traveling to the casinos.
Mary especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Additional survivors include two sons, Thomas P. Russo and wife Sandra and Andrew R. Russo and wife Colleen both of Temple.
There are three grandchildren, Nichole May Russo, Kelly Russo, and Joseph Russo.
She was predeceased by a grandson, Anthony T. Russo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 13th at 11 am in Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, 3121 Kutztown Rd., Hyde Park, Reading, PA 19605 with Rev. Allen J. Hoffa celebrant.
A viewing will be held on Friday morning from 10 am until 11 am in Holy Guardian Angels RCC.
Interment will follow in Laureldale Cemetery.
The Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc., Temple is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
