Mary Theresa (Dennis) Konopelski, 93, of Reading, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2022 at Tower Health Reading Hospital.
Born in Reading on June 7, 1929, she was a daughter to the late Michael and Eila (Padovani) Dennis.
Mary was a 1948 graduate of Reading Catholic High School. Being a devoted catholic, she was a current member of Saint Catherine of Sienna RCC. She had a strong zest for life and loved to entertain, socialize, dance and visit her friends at Boscov’s. She enjoyed being a member of the Junior Catholic Women’s League and had the experience of being a delegate for a U.S. Presidential Candidate in the 1990’s. During her working years, Mary served as a Nursing Assistant for Berks Heim and the Visiting Nurses Association.
Mary is survived by her eight children, whom she loved dearly; Linda Reiber, companion of Thomas Gross, Frances M. Breton, wife of Leo, Michele Bausher, widow of Daryl Bausher, Sr., Marian Robidas, wife of Ted, Denise Konopelski, Elaine Bickel, wife of James, Patrick Konopelski, husband of Lisa, and Robert Konopelski, husband of Cindy and one sister- in- law, Joan Dennis. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild whom were all very close to her heart!
She was predeceased by two brothers, Harry Dennis, wife of Joan, and Patrick Dennis, husband of the late Mary.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 10:00 am – 10:45 am with a memorial service beginning at 10:45 am in the Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home, 4914 Kutztown Road, Temple.
A burial will take place in Gethsemane Cemetery.
