Mark D. Runge

November 2, 1954 — June 25, 2014

Mark D. Runge, 59, of Bern Twp. passed away Wednesday
June 25th in St. Joseph Medical Center of natural causes.

He was the life partner of Melody (Peters) Wilson.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Leo Runge and
Rita (Steinhauer) Lohmann.

He was the owner and operator of Mark Runge Radon
Contracting in Bern Twp.

He served in the Army, stationed in Munich Germany during the Vietnam War.

He was a airplane pilot owning a single engine Cherokee 184. In earlier years he raced a 72 Chevy Vega at Maple Grove Raceway. He was a jack of all trades and loved to work with his hands.

Survivors include his two sons, Tyler S. Runge of Bernville and Tucker L. Runge of Douglassville. Also, Melody's children, Tara Palm, Taunia Palm Scoglio, April George, and Tyler Wilson and grandchildren, Aden George and Jackson Scoglio.

There is one sister, Debbie Quinnette of Simpsonville, SC
a step brother, Keith Schaeffer of Reading, and a step sister, Mary Beth Moser of Geigertown.

He is predeceased by a brother, Roger Runge.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday July 1st at 10:30 am in the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc., 4914 Kutztown Rd, Temple, PA, 19560 with Rev. Grant Wickert officiating. A visitation with the family will be held Tuesday morning one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Lebanon County, where military honors will be held.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc. at the above address to assist the family with funeral expenses.
