Margaret A. Wolff, 92, formerly of Temple, passed away Sunday, March 16th in Pottstown where she resided with her daughter.
She was the widow of Clarence E. Wolff, who passed away June 11, 2004.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late John G. and Susan E. (Eckenroth) Schatz.
Margaret was a graduate of the Reading Hospital nursing school. She served her country as 2nd Lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps during WWII, from 1943-1944, stationed in Wales.
She subsequently was employed as an R.N. for the Reading Hospital from 1950-1954, and then for Dr. Gilmore's practice in Temple from 1954-1991.
Margaret was a member of Rosedale United Church of Christ in Laureldale, where she participated in the choir and bell choir. She was also a member of the Women Veterans of Berks County.
Surviving is her daughter, Maureen F. (Walters), wife of John Brzoska, of Pottstown; step-son, Thomas J. Wolff of Williston, VT; and step-daughter, Debra A. (Wolff) LeFever of Exeter.
Margaret was predeceased by her son, Michael F. Walters, who passed away in May 2004.
There are five grandchildren: Seth and Steve Walters; Michelle Courtesis; and Mark and Chris Edwards; four great-grandchildren: Brandi and Steven Courtesis; and Karesa and Morgan Edwards; and three great-great-grandchildren: Elijah Gonzalez, Ava Pichardo, and Damien Courtesis.
Also surviving are three sisters: Anna May (Schatz) Miller of Ambler; Carolyn E. (Schatz) Leister of Gilbertsville; and Rita E. (Schatz) Yundt of Reading.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 5th at 11:00 a.m. at Rosedale United Church of Christ, 1301 Bellevue Ave., Reading, PA 19605. Following the service will be a luncheon at the church.
