Mabel C. (Haas) Zerbe

Mabel C. Zerbe, 95, of Leesport passed away Tuesday, September 22nd at Mifflin Court where she had resided for the past year.

Mabel was the daughter of the late Melvin and Ellameda (Reber) Haas.

She is survived by daughters, Carolyn Preston, widow of the late J. Phillip Preston of Wernersville and Beverly Schlouch and husband Wayne of Mohnton; grandchildren, Heather L. Kreider and husband Jim of Wernersville, J. Andrew Preston and wife Francine of Wernersville, Brett P. Preston and wife Lauri of Harleysville, Erica Fisher and husband Christian of England, and Meggan Landis and husband Jeremy of Wernersville; and great-grandchildren, Sarah, Alexis, Kyle, Lauren, Danielle, Lindsey, Aiden, Noah, Bella, and Gabriel

Mabel is preceded in death by husband, Herman H. Zerbe, who passed away July 6, 1986 and brothers, Howard and Henry Haas.

Mrs. Zerbe had been employed by the Berkshire Knitting Mills as a machine operator for several years before choosing to become a homemaker.

She had been a member of Bern Evangelical Lutheran Church for many years, and had been very involved with several events including bake sales. She had also been a member of Lutheran Church Woman

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 28th at 11am from Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main Street, Bernville with the Rev. Walton Horn officiating. Interment will follow in Bern Cemetery. A viewing will be held Monday at the funeral home from 10am until time of service.
