Llewellyn P. Hoffert, 78, of Jefferson Twp., passed away Saturday May 28th in the Hospital of the University of PA in Philadelphia with his loving family by his side.
He was married to Lucille "Lucy" (Zerbe) Hoffert. Llewellyn and Lucy were married August 22, 1959 and celebrated fifty six years of marriage.
Born in Oley Twp., he was the son of the late Wayne and Mary (Ruth) Hoffert.
He was employed for thirty five years for North American Refractories Co. (NARCO) in Womelsdorf. He also enjoyed farming.
He was the caretaker for Christ Little Tulpehocken Church Cemetery for fifty years and a member of the cemetery board.
He was passionate about loving and serving his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was a devoted member of Christ Little Tulpehocken Church in Jefferson Twp. where he was past president of the congregation, a Sunday school teacher, and elder.
Additional survivors include his children, Debbie A. George and husband Rich of Marion, Indiana and Michael L. Hoffert and wife Pam of Jefferson Twp.
He is survived by his siblings, Wayne, Edna, Esther, Lena, Janette, and Mary Lou.
He is predeceased by his siblings, Lloyd, Pauline, Tamsey, Fern, Alton, and Jane.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 2nd at 11 am in the Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main St., Bernville with Pastor Terris Byrd officiating.
Interment to follow in Host Church Cemetery.
A viewing will be held on Thursday morning from 9 am until time of service in the funeral home.
