Livio Cagnetti, 83, of Temple passed away Sunday, November 13th in the Reading Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Livio was married to Maria (Iachini) Cagnetti. Livio and Maria were married December 3, 1959 and celebrated fifty seven years and eleven months of marriage.
Born in the Marche Region of Italy, he was the son of the late Carmine Cagnetti and Giulia (Gabbapini) Cagnetti.
He was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church.
He was employed for over thirty years for Ontelaunee Farms in Temple. In earlier years he was a farmer in Italy.
He was a member of the St. Marco Society in Temple.
He loved to make homemade wine and really enjoyed being in the company of family and friends. He was a Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan.
Livio was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was a extremely hard worker, traveling to America when he was young with the intention of obtaining a better life for his family.
Additional survivors include two children, Paula Ulk of Temple and Carmine Cagnetti and girlfriend Sue Schmeck of Muhlenberg Twp. He is predeceased by a daughter, Gabriella L. Hess who passed away December 30, 2011.
There are three grandchildren, Ryan C. Ulk of Houston, TX., Derek T. Ulk of Temple, and Maria G. Hess of Fleetwood.
There is a brother, Mario Cagnetti and wife Joan of Temple and a sister, Irma DeLuca and husband Anthony of Laureldale.
He is predeceased by a sister, Giacomina Morganti and survived by her husband Giacomo of Muhlenberg Twp.
There are several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 17th at 10 AM in Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, 3121 Kutztown Rd., Hyde Park, Reading, PA with Rev. Msgr. Dennis T. Hartgen and Rev. E. Michael Camilli celebrants.
A viewing will be held on Thursday morning from 8 AM until 9:45 AM in Holy Guardian Angels RCC.
Interment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale.
Donations may be made to Maria Cagnetti for her living trust and mailed to Carmine Cagnetti, 960 Pine Heights Rd., Reading, PA 19605.
