LeRoy G. Fishburn

LeRoy G. Fishburn, 85, of Upper Bern Twp., passed away Wednesday, August 17th in Berks Heim.

He was married to the late Marian (Oberly) Fishburn who passed away February 17, 2009.

Born in Heidelberg Twp., he was the son of the late Levi Fishburn and Verna (Oxenreider) Fishburn.

He was employed by Glen-Gery Brick in Shoemakersville for forty five years.

Surviving are his children, George Fishburn of Wernersville, Gerald Fishburn and wife Judy of Westfield, PA, Marilyn Schaeffer and husband Clark of Sinking Spring, Carolyn Lutz and husband Gene of Robesonia, Janice Strunk and husband Ralph, Jr. of Wernersville, Edward Fishburn of Wernersville, and Brian Fishburn of Upper Bern Twp.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Lisa Sohn who passed away in 1994.

There are six grandchildren, Kevin, Christy, Valerie, Shawn, Steffany, and Jessica.

There are two step grandsons, Tim and Travis.

He was predeceased by three grandchildren, Scott, Joshua, and Gregory.

Also, there are nine great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.

He is survived by a sister, Lucille Ohlinger.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Richard and Clarence Fishburn.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 26th at 11 am in the Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main St., Bernville, PA with Rev. Roderick Sutliff officiating.

Interment will follow in Christ Little Tulpehocken Church Cemetery.

Family and friends may attend a visitation with the family on Friday morning from 10 am until time of service in the funeral home.
