Lawrence E. Ramberger

October 16, 1929 — March 26, 2015

Lawrence E. Ramberger, 85, formerly of Bernville, passed away Thursday, March 26th at Stone Ridge Poplar Run in Myerstown.

He was married to the late Gladys E. (Troutman) Ramberger who passed away January 19, 2012.

Born in Klingerstown, PA, he was the son of the late Raymond O. Ramberger and Helen A. (Rothermel) Ramberger Landvater.

He was employed for many years for Carpenter Technology. Prior to Carpenter Technology he was a dairy herd improvement milk tester for twenty five years. He received awards for outstanding supervisor of his district and outstanding supervisor of PA by the PA Dairyman's Assoc.

He was a member of Host Church where he was a former Sunday School teacher and treasurer of Sunday School, former treasurer of church consistory and Elder.
He was a former council member of the Borough of Bernville, a member of Williamson Lodge No. 307 in Womelsdorf, a member of the National Society of Sons of the American Revolution, and a private pilot.

He served in the Army during the Korean War.

Surviving is a son, Laverne E. Ramberger and wife Cheryl of Robesonia. He is predeceased by a daughter, Leann E. Ramberger who passed away February 28, 2000.

There is a granddaughter, Karen, wife of Brandon Hardy and a great grandchild, Cassandra Hardy.

Also, surviving are his siblings, Vernon Ramberger of West Grove, PA, Dorene Story of California, and Helen Mae Repp of York Co. He is predeceased by siblings, Roy and Mark Ramberger and Gene Maxwell.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 1st at 11 am in the Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main St., Bernville with Rev. Larry Longenecker officiating. Interment will follow in Host Church Cemetery.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday morning from 10 am until time of service in the funeral home.
